This is me checking out the dpoll.xyz app ... but I'm genuinely curious about the answer as well.

a) you can always cash out your SP
b) even if STEEM dropped in the 13 weeks it takes to power down, I'm sure I could generate enough additional STEEM/SP to make up the losses.
i.e. I don't see STEEM being < US$0.15 in 13 weeks time

With $50k in my account, I wouldn't need to make more money. So, there would be no need to invest in Steem and I will be on Steemit for fun, not to make money.

At this price, I would take the SP, since I believe that Steem has a great opportunity to grow with a real usability for non-crypto-people.
