Do you think a woman should take her husband's name after marriage or not?

Good day dear friends! Of course wedding is important part for both and men and women. And one of the aspects of the wedding is the opportunity for a woman to take her husband's name. Of course, this does not happen always and everywhere. And it may depend on many reasons. Anyway I'm asking you to share with us your opinion should woman take her husband's name after the marriage or not?

  • Yes surely

  • I think no

  • It must be by mutual agreement

  • Yes, only if woman wants it

  • Other(please explain)

Woman taking her husbands name at marriage is a carry-forward from old cultural norms where a woman is her father's property until marriage, and then becomes her husband's property.

The only good argument for it now is that it's easier for children to share the same last name with both parents... to this end, I took my wife's name when we got married.

If either wants to take the last name then go for it, you could even combine them.

But it does make it more clear if you have the same last name.
