What is the best selling content-category for steem?
As the need to grow #steem through a massive promotion and marketing via all available media increases, we should also be concerned with the packaging and repackaging of contents to gain adoption of the public. There is need to evaluate the best-selling content-category. With this, the less celebrated content-types should be subjected to further repackaging to gain more value for users, and curators alike.
Although this list may not be exhausted, the well known (to my knowledge) include #art #music #audio #text-contents #videos, #vlogs #ulogs #programming-codes #photos #animations #questions

I don't know, but definitely not my content.
Probably the high amount of Steem Power of the author, but that is not a content category. I guess that the content category is not matter, as long as you have a high amount of Steem Power, which I currently don't have.
The higher amount of Steem Power you have, the more people (at least pretend to) care about your content.
I usually earn a few cents (a fraction of Steem) with my posts, because almost no one cares about my posts, no matter what I post, what I try, what I write about.
Nowadays I have a low amount of Steem Power. Nowadays I have less than 300 Steem Power.
I currently (2019.02.14, 16:18 CET) have only 256.848 Steem Power.
Most of the upvotes on my posts are coming from (mostly free) upvote bots.

I picked the three I did because long form (blog posts) writing, video and art posts all have larger communities, and or dApps behind them. Curation trails like curie tend to favor text and art, along with music, but perhaps not as much. Video has Dtube curation backing it up.
Whether or not any of that should be the best selling, I'm not so sure. The thing is, there seems to be quite a bit of interest in non-creative content, too, as in video games where the participant is playing or interacting rather than creating. Steem Monsters and now Drug Wars are doing quite well as far as participation goes, and while I've not played either, reports from those who have are by and large positive, and it sounds like they are happy with the time they are spending there relative to their possible earnings.
I don't know if video games in and of themselves hold the key, along with games of chance, but the answer probably lies in diversity, and bringing on the most amount of people by providing the greater variety of content/game/businesses.
