Which date format is the most logical?

Four months ago (on 2018.12.20) I asked What date format(s) are you using in everyday life?
Now I ask "Which date format is the most logical?"
I think that the most logical date format is the Year-Month-Day (2019.04.26) (2019 April 26) (2019 april 26). Or you can also pronounce this as "2019 fourth month 26th (day)".

  • Year-Month-Day (2019.04.26).

  • Day-Month-Year (26.04.2019).

  • Month-Day-Year (04.26.2019).

  • Year-Day-Month (2019.26.04).

Answer the question at dpoll.xyz.

Ah shit, alright, look.

I get it, really I do. Day-Month-Year makes sense as it's going smallest to biggest, BUT, that's not how we talk!

When I tell someone the date, I say: "It's month day"
Get it?

Today is April 26th, 2019.
Steem Power Up Day is on May 1st, 2019.
Soon will be May 4th, 2019. Star Wars day!

To be fair, this is how people talk where I'm from. In other parts of the world, perhaps people do speak more like: "Today is 26th of April, 2019"
That just happens to not be common in my life, so personally I lean towards the Month-Day-Year format.

[ I get the feeling this is as controversial of a subject as the infamous "tabs vs. spaces" among programmers X-D ]

Difficult to say, I think it depends on the language. Your question is as you were asking: Which language is the most logical... In some cases you better don't search for logic.. (Languages, feelings, women :) )
