A different kind of drawing this time : not a realistic scenery, but an evocation of an ancient past...
To that end, I had the idea to paint characters with only a variation of one color, blue for one and green for the other one, when the main topic f the drawing - the sword - is in plain colors.
For the sword, I had fun to take three models and to mix them - before that, honestly I never wondered how a sword is made !
A very fun drawing to make !

The detail on this is amazing! Do you just draw from imagination, or use an image or something to sort of go by? Either way, your work is damn cool!
NICE work!
Wow, @djacbaweur ! I love how you evoke the feeling of the present and the past by the use of colours in this piece. The sword feels like it belongs to the present, presented in natural colours and the portraits that flank it seems as if they belong to a recollection.... I love the step by step presentation, as usual, and I also love the detailing ! Your lineart is always so well detailed and the sword's hilt is no exception to this <3
Gorgeous work ! I look forward to the chapter that will accompany this illustration :)
Beautiful details on the sword! And of course the men too.

The detail is amazing. And I like the artstyle too, reminds me of something I've seen in a game cutscene, not sure which game though. I know the parts of a sword (pommel, handle, guard, blade...) but when I try to draw one I never knew what kind of details can be added to make it unique like this one. Great work!
Excellent technical skills.
