Seriously.... Wtf....
So I can't point out the blantant upvote farms he has with his free delegated SP given by Steem that bumps up his posts so much they show up on my Google now feed?
Basically we fought for nothing? Just so this guy can continue his bullshit? His fake accounts a script upvoting while he lies to his true followers with his fake accounts?
Extremely disappointed. Good thing this is decentralized and I am not an associate of anyone and my own person with my own opinions.
I have to second this opinion! It seems that the whole point of this conflict has been completely avoided and nothing useful has actually come from it. Whether or not his posts are 100 or 50/50 he is still taking a massive share of the reward pool, not to mention how much of the front page is dominated by him (and even Google Now like you say).
It just seems like the situation was avoided and not confronted... Not properly anyway. I guess the bit that annoyed me the most was how so many of the powerful whales were just willing to sit there and do literally nothing. A few made comments about it (indirectly), or referenced it, but nearly none actually acted against it (on whichever side they believed in).
People want to avoid conflict, I get that. But sometimes you have to actually fight for your beliefs and rights sadly.
This whole conflict has just been stupid, and in the end there isn't even a useful or beneficial outcome? What does this show for the future of Steemit?
What it shows is that Drama and Gossip have a way of following human beings around regardless of the platform. Gaming the system is just a byproduct of a generation of Pay2Win mechanics and their subsequent abuse. What you can do about it, is point it out as you have. Hopefully ignore it in the future and try to drown it out with actual quality content and clever technical solutions. We have bigger things to worry about on a macro scale than getting bogged down in the micromanagement of people in conflict. I'm talking out of my ass aren't I? Just keep swimming.
