Our hero picks up the sword, struggling with it's weight. He then explores until he comes across a gaping chasm in the floor, revealing another corridor below it. He hears barges approaching behind him.

Those two doors might connect one room. Let's check what is inside and then decide what to do next.
Probably have to kill a couple more barges.
I must quickly decide, jump the impossible distance or go through that door and hope to get out through the other one at the otherside of the hole. This is what i advise
Our hero must immediately find the source of the barge and immediately head for it to escape.
Not much choice for our hero @alexbeyman. He must hurry into the hole and find a barge. Then he had to get away from the bad place.
He must jump down to the floor below through the opening.
Firstly he should cheak the door, if he find a way than he should use it quickly.Or if there were no way behiend the door, he should jump than and run away as quickly as he can.Because everytime fighting is not a wise idea.Our hero recently fought two times, he need some time to get stamina for another fight.Go hero, you can do it.
How about that door, can it be opened? If not Hero needs to move as he's not sure whether he can take on two or more barges at a time. Hero should proceed to the opening in the ground
throw that sword anywhere and jump with spear only as swords overweight can go against
he is stickman he can jump and continue killings with spear after all you are good at throwing spear
No time to think just jump through the gape & find out what is waiting for him in the corridor
Don't run, face the Barges & kill them all with you sword.

He could open the door beside him of it's not locked or drop the spear and the sword through the hole on the floor ...then jump next to escape the barge behind him
First of all, let's congratulate our hero, who I think, now the hero should be overwhelmed by that obstacle, entering the door

Stickman quickly get inside the opening there may be an escape route there.
Drop that sword and jump to the other side.. that must be the right way no doubt.. He can always jump down after.. barges are too fat to jump through the gap.

If he can't do that, jump to the lower level
He should try to open the door 🚪 on his left and hope he find another door in that room which is placed on the left side after the gap
Our hero has to decide quickly, he is always good and lucky anyways but I will say our hero should throw the sword over the gaping chasm so that he can move and runs comfortable without having to carry the heavy sword not until he might have killed the barge, he can even decide to use any of the two weapons he is holding. Always win.
He looked at the gap and become hesitant. He could not jump over to the other side. He must think quickly, the door on the left was only his hope. He tried to open but it was locked.
The barges was getting louder and louder.
Our hero hit the door with the sword with all his might and power. The door broke into pieces. He ran inside the room thinking that would be a safe place, and then find ways to get to the other side of the gap.

Open the room door and see if it leads to the other door, kind of like a classroom door set. If so use that stupid heavy assed sword to jam in the door so it can not be open, and hope that bages are not good jumpers.
Our hero should climb down to the corridor below as fast as possible without making to much noice trying to escape those nearing barges.

Force the door! Brace it with the spear. Take the other door off it’s hinges and cut it part way through the back with the sword. Place the damaged door over the hole as a trap for barges!
He got to do down that opening on the floor and see as he would surely not be able to make that jump across
