Life Drawing for Animation Homework - Draw from Pencil Tests

I'm currently taking a life drawing for animation class at Cal State Fullerton. Our homework assignment was to draw 7-12 stills from a pencil test video. The only rules was it had to be a bipedal character and to show movement. There was no tracing involved. Just took screenshots from the video for each position and looked at each one when drawing, first in pencil and then inked with a Pigma Brush pen.

Here is the pencil test of Betty Boop that I watched and took screenshots from.

and here are the first 4 I did in pencil that I didn't ink. I like the composition of the other page better as well as the movement. (I had to enhance the image on photoshop because the pencil was too light in the picture)

I am much more comfortable with a paintbrush rather than a pencil or pen but I am trying to do more and more drawings to get more comfortable.

I'd love to hear critiques or answer any questions. Thanks for checking out my post! <3

I'm pretty sure that I would have a hard time doing that. I think you did a good job with the ones you inked, they definitely express movement.

thank you! it definitely took me some patience and was a little hard , hope my professor agrees with you=p

animation is most hard work. If you have experience you will get better result from here.

looking funny dear

funny good or funny bad?:)
