The town - step by step

Today, it's a little town, called Dostalku, in a country called Baklourin. That's where Lijdel goes, because she has a very important secret appointment - you will see which kind of appointment later ! ^^

The drawing is quite easy this time, there are no special difficulties - the only challenge is... patience for the small detailed trees !

And now, for the color, that's the first time I will paint only with my small brush !
In retrospect, I would have liked more diversity in the colour of the trees, I was too shy this time. But I'm still happy with the way the foliage looks, based only on shading details. In fact, I only focused on that !

I gasped when I saw the first shot. It is so well done and just the kind of scene I like to see. Then I read:

The drawing is quite easy this time

Ha! I always love to see progress posts of art work being created. but it surely does not look easy to me!

This reminds me so much of the scenes in southern Europe painted in the 1860's to 1900 by the impressionists. I'm thinking for Cezanne in particular.

I could pretend to walk through this landscape and town for hours. I'm so glad I saw this today.

The color is perfect and I really love the far aspect staying light. Fantastic!

After Myazaki, here is Cezanne ! My god, too much, too much ! :D

I do not have good wifi to search for exactly what I mean, but take a look at this and I know you will see my point. Bravo :)

Nice! Made me think of Myazaki. And olives with red wine.

Myazaki, I couldn't get a better compliment ! Thanks ! :)

Lovely! Nice details and color 👍🏽

Thanks ! ^^

Very beautiful drawing. Well done. 😃

thank you !

This scene is amazing, love that there are lots of everything here, the tall trees, the different tree types, farmlands, and the town jutting out in the distance. They all work together as one and make a beautiful idyllic painting.

what a great work you do here... Look at all the details... It's funny cause you say:

The drawing is quite easy this time, there are no special difficulties - the only challenge is... patience for the small detailed trees !

for me is not easy. maybe cause I don't have the skill you have. but just the fact to imagine a place and put in paper is amazing...

how much time took you to finish it?

I will share a secret : the drawings are always inspired by real pictures ^^
Difficult to say how much time, I did it little by little, spread over a week

hahahah your secret is safe with me (?) xDD... are different places or a single place in specific? you have my curiosity ON

This is a breath taking work of art! Stunning. So charming -- the complexity of your work yet the simplicity of the scene scape is remarkable. PLEASE continue to share your work!

This is simply magical! I love the colors and the mythical feel of the village. It is so beautiful!
