A pen portrait of an old woman. I find that portraits of old people have a lot of 'soul', almost as if you can see their whole life in their expression alone.
The photo reference I used was quite interesting, she could be smiling into the distance at her grandchildren or the view. I found that she has alot of character and would be good to draw.

Hey, really cool portrait.
Here's some advice for you to improve your skill:
Your cross hatching for the shadow areas is too messy, I guess you were going for that very sketchy, rough look but the strokes dont create the illusion of shadow and light just yet.
