My drawing of Tepeyollotl, the Jaguar of the Night.
In Nahuatl (the language of the Aztecs), the name comes from the combination of tepētl ("mountain"), and yōllōtl ("heart").
He rules over the animals, caves and earthquakes. Tepeyollotl is a shape shifted form of Tezcatlipoca (the Smoking Mirror) one of the primary gods of Mayan and Aztec religion.
I started with a pencil drawing, photographed it and then darkened the lines in Gimp using difference of gaussians and the cartoon filter.
I'm not sure what he is holding but it might be a body part. Sort of looks like roast duck.
