Hi everyone! I'd love to share all about how I make portraits for my good friends. I think flowers are the prettiest things ever. Improves the aesthetics of everything around it.
I use graphite and charcoal for the main subject and then colored pencils for the flowers.
I don't know about other artists but I haven't seen anyone draw like this. I'm sure there are but I haven't met anyone.
And here's one I made, most recent
Oooh I like this shot a lot it's like putting on eyeliner. Putting darker shades makes such a difference in the transition of your drawing.
Always observe tonal value and gradation.
Then I fill the hair strands and leave out some white for the shine
I add another level of dark shades.
To make it more lifelike and 3D
Hope you learned and enjoyed.

Thank you!

Thank you so much. Glad you like it :D
Your style of drawing is quite interesting. How did you come up with the idea to do this? I am also trying to work out if there are other people that are doing the same thing as I am with my artwork, so I hope you find something that shares the same creative vision (or not) :)
Hi i just thought flowers on the hair are beautiful and enhance feminine essence. So i just drew them together.
Thank you and yes id like to find out. But i do hope im still original in my own way
It was interesting to draw the person in black & white and the flowers in colour. I wonder if you would get the same impact if the colour themes were reversed. I have been looking for people who have made origami from using flowers and leaves, and so far I haven't had any luck. But it has been interesting telling people about the story, so I hope you will also have an interesting journey with your art :)
I make origami but i think flowers and leaves would be difficult since they are hard to fold and they dont stay that way unless you bind it with some adhesive.
ill post my origami works soon :)
ah yes well Ill try one day to set it in reverse :D I havent tried because its so hard to draw people in color. im still getting used to it. good idea tho! definitely worth a shot :)
Yes, it is difficult to work with flowers and leaves but that's part of the fun/challenge. Basically the idea is to press and dry them to the point where the crease will hold while making sure it is not too brittle. If you look at my profile picture you can see an example but I will post more photos up soon. Keep going with the lovely portraits and I look forward to your next post :)
Ang galiiiiiiing! Hindi pa ako nakakatry ng portrait kasi nakaka overwhelm. Parang di ko alam kung saan maguumpisa. Haha! Ang husay nito. At ang friends mo ang gaganda! Kilay is life talaga. 😊
Hahahhhhh di ako nag edit ng kilay nila haahhaaha xD
Salamat po talaga ah. There are basics to follow if you wanna start portraits. :) I can give u some tips
