Framed and finished, I looked at this drawing with the glare of the glass. It made me think like I looked at it from a zoo cage.
About Jaguars
Native to America, jaguars are the 3rd largest in the cat family after the Tiger and Lion.
They are only found in America
They resemble Leopards but are bigger and have bigger spots
They behave more like tigers
They are lone hunters and only come together to mate
They are a symbol of strength
They live in the rainforest
Their life span is around 10-15 years. In captivity they can live over 20 years.
Jaguars are NEAR THREATENED species. Mostly because of the loss of habitat.
i. Deforestation
ii. Industrialization
iii. Hunting
LOSS OF HABITAT
Many of our feline friends are slowly moving a rank down to extinction due to sport hunting and loss of habitat.
Many industries like palm oil take up so much of the forest. Animals like
Orangutans, Elephants and Tigers lose their homes.
The ENDANGERED AND HUNTED
The Sumatran Tigers will be extinct in three years
Preservation is a must.
Lions in africa are being bred and sold to trophy hunters
The only freedom they will taste is the day they will be hunted.
There are only three White Rhinos left in the world.
While the numerous black rhinos are being trophy hunted or killed for their horn.
Elephants are killed for their Ivory
Foxes bred and raised in fur farms. Hunted for fun.
They flee from hunters, caught in traps. Their brother dogs follow the same fate: Coyotes, Jackals and even the endangered grey wolf is killed for the glory of some industries.
Zeus the blind owl, a symbol of hope.
This screech owl was rescued. I drew him because his eyes are so beautiful.
He cannot see the whole of the earth and universe but he has the universe in his eyes
Also because people rescued him and gave him a home, a new life.
It is what I wish for all abused and endangered animals.

Materials and Drawing Apps
The mediums I used are
- Graphite on paper with charcoal pencil to darken the darkest shades
- Colored pencils on paper with pen and ink
- Paperone app and AUTODESK sketchbook app from google playstore.
There is hope
I hope people can WAKE UP.
I am a wildlife artist for a reason.
I will speak out for animals and nature who do not have a voice but live and are threatened everyday.
