Thanks @nathwright876 ! Would you recommend that I continue practicing my sketching without copic or start practicing with copic right away? I've seen how copic can really make artwork POP but I'm not sure if my drawing skills are good enough to invest in copic yet.

I don't think there is a skill level when someone is ready for copic markers, just get them when you can and begin learning to use them. Your skills will continue to improve while making your drawings Pop that bit more.
I've never had the spare cash to get a decent set, I would love a set and am thinking of buying a bunch of new equipment soon.

I heard too that they were super expensive. But! I did my research and one person recommended a certain paper to practice copics with and a set of twelve markers for beginners, which, he recommended because you could blend them to make other colors.

I was thinking I could buy a set or two but... maybe they are still a bit too expensive. That is why I used promarkers in the past, they are a similar type of pen and the only down side is they don't have the felt brush tip.

Well i hope the copics go well I've just order a different brand and spent a fair amount on 24 markers and an A3 pad of bleedproof paper.
maybe they are equally expensive as copic markers.
I just bought copic sketch markers and bleedproof paper! I had to come back to this post to tell you lol. I don't know what to draw with them though... o.O
