Greek mythology collage drawing #9 - 'CHIRON' (Pencil on paper) by Romaan Namoor.

in #drawing7 years ago (edited)

It's running nice like this ... we're already at number nine, with this time in the lead role: CHIRON, centaur and centipede in various disciplines. But in addition, mainly mentor of a lot of Greek figures.
More in the description I picked from wikipedia.

Background info from wikipedia:

Chiron (Ancient Greek: Χείρων) or Chiron (Latin) is a figure from Greek mythology. He is a centaur, son of the mighty titan Kronos and the oceanide Philyra. Chiron was generally regarded in ancient times as the "good centaur", which distinguishes itself from other centaurs by developing in knowledge and wisdom of music, medicine and archery, healing and art.
He was at the top of the Pilion. Chiron was friends with Peleus and protected him from an attack by hostile Centaurs. Moreover, he told Peleus how he could win the love of Thetis. Achilles was born from the marriage of Peleus and Thetis.
Chiron was famous for his knowledge of medicine, which he passed on to the god Askleipios, and he was also an excellent sculptor. When after the death of his pupil Aktaion his dogs barked and cried of loneliness, the centaur consoled them by making an image of their master.
He was immortal, but when he was wounded by a poisonous arrow from Herakles, he abandoned his immortality to Prometheus for his pains to be redeemed.

HOLY CRAP! my friend. your art is AMAZING!! I absolutely love your style, esp your use of black and white. It is incredible and hypnotizing. I have been loving this Greek theme you have had going. Def right up my alley. Any chance you ever do some timelapses of your work? I would love to see the creation process. As a creator myself it is always interesting seeing the differences in people's processes. It always helps re-inspire so new ideas can take root. Collaboration and exchanging perspectives and ideas is essential to the soul. ;)

Thanks again for your nice words!Thank you @infamousit for your fantastic reaction. And yes, I also thought about recording my proces only I don't have the appropriate equipment to record it and too little knowledge of assembling and editing. I am and remain a craftsman ;)

Oh man your work is so creative and skillful! You really seem to have your mythology down. I'll be back.

Cheers!Thank you @zeroooc for your kind words, really appreciate it!

:)
Followed!
Keep up the good work.

Beautiful image, my friend. Very detailed and careful pencil work.
