There are different assumptions or depictions. And, you are right - no one knows.
Personally, I believe that no one in this life will know before Jesus returns.
I agree with you. Imagine finding him. First of all, there will be critics who will try to find irrational engineering solutions of God Himself. But, something tells me that a gable roof and a flat bottom, for the ocean and big waves, is not the best solution. I see it as an unsinkable construction with any wave. Can you imagine what the waves were then? They could gain strength and power throughout our ball and they did not have barriers and natural breakwaters.
One more thing. Rain poured such a force that any deck would fill with water instantly. For this reason, I abandoned the idea that the deck is needed.
