The expression of the face is full with a kind of bleak serenity, and i love the folds of the clothes and the hands that hold the head... the hands' pose are very lovely and fluid and wonderful <3 <3 <3

Firstly I love this drawing, amazing!
Second, that's funny about your friends. I'm having a quiet holiday and we're just going to the local for Christmas dinner and also again for New years Eve drinks. I'm definitely going to any local Christmas sings still happening in Canterbury, as I've already gone to a couple.

That is a bit creepy drawing, just reminded me Harry Potter's Headless Nick, may be because on Christmas we love to watch it.
I hope you will have some nice surprises for X-mas, some peopole like to do them. Like we did with my mother but it was Easter when we just landed and were at her door at 10pm, she did not believe that we are phoning standing in front of her door and did not want to open. That was a lot of fun for us :)
Hehehe that sounds like a nice and fun surprise, and I hope she didn't let you stand outside too long lol. But my friends and I are bad with impromptu and if we don't plan things ahead, usually nothing will happen. Let's hope there will be some good news soon.

Hmm no news yet from my friends. I don't feel like visiting some places and restaurants without them so it's hard to plan anything. We can always put together some plan at the last minute, but there will be stuff we won't be able to do if that's how it goes. Obviously we can do some low key stuff, but then they usually complain that there's nothing to do >_>.

FABULOUS concept @scrawly. Without all the comings of goings of our 'head' ~ Although we do need to handle it with care ~ We would probably be much more in touch with nature ~ And all life. The Tree of Life is so appropriate for this special time.

Using the quiet time to bring back some semblance of order into my studio and living space and garden so I can 'play' here again.
Has been divine in Sydney today. Planning on having a day off tomorrow. Will go bush really early ~ I love quiet lone time in the bush on Christmas Day ~ To begin with anyway. Might see some friends later.
I still haven't made my Christmas Tree ~ Sad but not surprising. But I'm about to do something surprising and a bit scary ~ Share one of my ancient drawings.

Now this is some good ole art as always. I like the choice of slight reddish tint that definitely pervades the entire drawing. Which I might add seems to fill in the void of the lack of blood dripping from the head and lack of any "actual" muscles on the haunted character. Of which I like how she doesn't fully skeletizes and still presents a human face despite having her spinal cord showing. Where I have to definitely say that drawing the drawing (what a mouthful that can get sometimes) in black-n-white with that red overlay really sells on old, grainy horror-terror films.
To move forward: this really could be a great scene in a manga or a chapter picture - and for a romantic horror nonetheless. Going further, I like how the top of the skeleton is a dang withered tree; subtle symbolism going on that contributes to, as I would phrase it, "the horror becoming a terror" scene here. Let's not forget she did after all say "I am completely - absolutely - yours" in the poem.
