It was a very strange dream. Even more strange was that she had dreamed of it. It had started out like any other day, she had done her usual routine work, she was tried as usual after a very stressful day at the office.. Tired and hungry. She quickly prepared dinner and immediately set out to sleep. That was how it all begun.
She saw herself in a strange place, she couldn't say where she was or why she was there. It was difficult to describe, and then she saw him, glistening in white. His face was shinny like a million stars, she had never seen anything so beautiful and then she saw certain people(or were they people?). They were all radiant and glowing. One of them said "Hosanna, in the highest" and they all bowed down to worship him. She heard songs so melodious, voices so sweet and heart that seemed so pure she felt awkward. Everyone there seemed to be happy, they called him king, Lord, and then she knew he was the one. The one who had given his life for her, the one who was the lamb without spot. Her Saviour. She wept, sobbling, she saw her life flash before her, she hadn't been faithful, she recalled how she never forgave her friend whom she had a quarrel with, she broke down and wept, sobbing uncontrollably. She also remembered that just last week, she had compromised her faith, she had given her body to her fiance because he insisted, she wept all the more as she suddenly saw all she has done in a flash. She wish she can turn back the hands of time . Surely this was judgement.
How many times had she heard that word before? Yes, she read her Bible but she didn't live by its instruction, she wept for doubting, for thinking for a moment that it wasn't real, that it was a fairy tale. She wept because right before her stood her saviour. She wept because she was unworthy. She knew he had borne shame, he was spat upon.
A prince who had taken upon himself her sins. She wept because she realized she had betrayed a friend, One who loved her to the extent of giving his life for her, she wept, crying because she knew she couldn't beg. She looked at her saviour thinking, if only she could have another chance . Falling facedown before his feet, she wept uncontrollably, just one chance to put her wrongs right. One chance to love him again and live for him, if only he would give her that one chance, she would give him all of her heart, she would keep her body, his temple, pour. She wept at the high price he had paid just so that she could be free. All the while she thought she had been free, she just realized she has been in bondage. She wept her heart sore, her pleading eyes asking the master for mercy. She looked up to her saviour Jesus.
Suddenly she jumped up, looking around and saw herself in the familiar surrounding of her room. Not that place, was this a dream or what? Was she alive or dead? She stepped down form her bed, pulled the window curtains to one side and looked out. It was still so dark outside. She looked at the clock, it was 2:34am in the morning. She fell on her knees and continued to weep as she poured out her heart inprayers.this truly is second chance. She thought within herself.
