What Do Dreams Mean, Anyway?

in #dreams7 years ago

Dreams are one of the natural wonders of the world. They’ve existed since the dawn of mankind and have since been shrouded in mystery. Everyone has them, regardless of whether they remember them or not, and there seems to be no end to the possibilities of their plot lines and symbols. You never know exactly what to expect of them, since they don’t seem to follow the rules of our ordinary, waking life. Dreams become even more fascinating when you begin to consider their meaning, that they are not just a random collection of images collected from the day, nor a body’s way of releasing steam as you sleep. They actually hold meaning, and can directly effect the quality of your life.

So what are dreams?

Dreams are direct messages from your subconscious mind. And yes, they hold a lot of importance. It’s your inner self or your soul’s way of communicating important concepts to our conscious mind. These are usually things that are often overlooked or pushed aside throughout our daily life. To even begin to understand these messages, it’s important to know the 2 universal principles about dreams. 1) Every dream is about the dreamer. This includes every person, place, and thing in the dream. They are all aspects of part of you. 2) They will relate to the last 24-48 hours of your life. So if you woke up to a dream this morning, it’s message is relative to your life yesterday, or the day before.

How do we understand them?

So how does one begin to understand then message in the crazy, convoluted world of dreams? It’s simple. You just need to know the language. Even better, you already know it. It’s humanity’s first language, and it’s all about symbols or images. It’s been referred to as “The Universal Language of Mind.” You can learn more about this language and how to use it in my other articles and videos.

The different kinds of dreams.

I like to describe dreams as multi-faceted, much like a diamond. Yes, they will always be messages pertaining to the dreamer, and yes, they will always be relative to the last 24-48 hours, however, at the -same- time they can also be much more. Simultaneously, you can be having a precognitive dream, those which show the future events to come if everything stays on its current trajectory. You can have visitation dreams, which are mind-to-mind connections from those who are out of our current plane of existence. There are shared dreams, which can be described as two or more individuals having the same dream, or experiencing the same dream-space from their unique perspective. You can have lucid dreams, in which the dreamer is conscious within the dream-state, so far as to even have control of the dream events. We can all have dreams which provide solutions to our very specific problems or be receive clarity on a situation simply because we asked. These are just a few of the possibilities that dreams hold. They truly are wonderful, powerful tools that we each have the ability to use on a daily basis to improve our lives. All you need is the desire to receive, to record them, interpret them, and most importantly, apply the message!
