I am new to Steemit community. Finally here and approved.

Hello. I'm Gene Single.

This is my first, let's say a test post.
I actually more specialize on darker genres of rock/metal music and old Euro horror/exploitation cinema, but as I'm surprised that there is still no tag "dreams" here, as well as "spiders" I will start with posting here a dream I saw and wrote down yesterday, and be the first here to create these tags.

Depths Of Venom

I was in a vegetable garden. Probably it was late spring or early summer: the plants were not completely developed, and the ground between them, organized in straight rows, was not covered much by their leafs.
Between the plants I saw holes of spiders that can be met often on this territory - South Russian Tarantula (on the pictures). A small earth spider - the biggest of them are slightly larger than an egg, including legs. You can usually find a few holes per a small garden or even within a city if you look attentively enough.

But in the dream their quantity and size were abnormal: at least one hole near each plant, and every of them was as large as a rat, a cat and even a small dog. Some spiders were of a different species, created by my dreaming imagination: hairless, more looking like a black widow (that in reality don't live in the ground). They were sitting inside, closer to the surface, looking at me with their double rows of black marble eyes, ready to hide in the depth of the hole as soon as a threat is felt. I knew that they considered me as a bigger threat than I considered them to be one. In reality a bite of such spider can be compared to a bite of a wasp or a hornet - unpleasant, but not lethal unless you are allergic. As each of them was bigger than a realistic individual, the amount of venom in every one was several hundreds higher, promising an extremely dissatisfying experience. But I understood that even though this species tends to be comparatively agressive, none of them would attack unless being forced to defend itself with no way to run. I and the garden owner were lucky that spiders are not (usually) social animals. Otherwise they would have definitely attack defending the territory or just hunting, realizing their advantage in quantity.

Nonetheless it felt creepy, very uncomfortable to be there, walking along tens of venomous predators, sitting inside their holes, considering nearby territory being their property. I was thinking how it would be possible to get rid of them. It would not be a problem to deal with each one by one. But killing someone even so creepy and dangerous felt disturbing. Not even because these creatures do have a special kind of bestial charm, but just because of me being a mammal with a usual feature of empathy, included into the standard package of software installed into my nervous system by the nature.

Correction: I'm not the first to use these tags. They are just not shown in the common list because they are not popular enough.
