Dr. Berg talks about how to spot a fad diet.
A fad diet is based on:

  1. Being low carb - that would be one indicator, because everyone knows that without carbs, your brain and nerves would suffer.
  2. Deviates from the food pyramid.
  3. Too restrictive
  4. Eliminates a food group
  5. Anecdotal
  6. If they tell you a food is bad, since no food can be bad. 7. Implies a food can change your chemistry 8. Sounds too good to be true.
  7. Has fast results I believe we need to change the definition of fad diet to be some diet that does not result in long term health.

The keto and IF plan if done right can give you the most positive health creating changes out of any diet because it provide ALL your nutrients, it lowers refined sugars and restores insulin function, which is under many health problems.

Add 7 cups of salad everyday, with homemade keto dressing, avoid soy, and you'll will be super healthy! https://www.drberg.com/blog/category/recipes

Did this post just state that being 'low carb' would be indicator of fad diet - yet Keto is getting the green light?

Good points otherwise.
A diet is only good if you can sustain it longterm . Otherwise that said diet may not be for you.
