RE: They said, "You might want some metal around you." 🚙

I hope you get your license very quickly. It was not clear to me if there is finally a cost for you to rent that car. In any case, how much would it cost to do it there around this time?

When I do, I will make a post about it. Thanks for your comment.

Thank you very much for your response. Sorry if the question seemed too intrusive. I was only interested in knowing that data--in a general way--to have a comparative pattern regardless of how distant the Argentine context is from the Cuban one in all senses.

No problem with the question. I paid the full price as if I had bought the car, but the car is not in my name. Then we shook hands on a verbal agreement that it was a rental agreement with no end date. If the car ever gets sold, then I receive the money for the sale. The owner wanted to sell it and needed the money. I have the money but cannot show crypto as the source of the funds (governments are unable to fathom how money can be anything but combustible paper). There are a few other guarantees that are quite binding as well and both parties are happy with the arrangement. In short he has the money and I possess something of value to guarantee the same sum of cash.

Thank you for elaborating on the agreement. You have been very kind. Greetings from Cuba, and have a good day.
