Drone footage from Miami Beach shows incredibly close encounters between unknowing swimmers and a tiger shark on Friday (November 24).
Kenny Melendez, the owner of the footage, was filming in the early morning when he "noticed what looked to be a moving shadow".
He thought it to be a Tiger Shark based on the stripes visible on its body, but it wasn't until he filmed the shark and swimmers in the same frame that he fully appreciated the size of the animal, seemingly around 7 to 9 feet (approximately 2 to 3 meters).
Both shark and humans appear unfazed by each other's presence in the video, though likely only due to the swimmers being blissfully unaware of the shark's presence.
