Why I choose the Dji Phantom 3 Professional
The Dji Phantom 3 Professional is a great Drone with amazing features and great capability but it didn’t all start with this drone.
My first Drone
The Hubsan x4 Brushless FPV (First Person View) Drone was my first drone and it was a great one. It had basic features and tort me how to fly and get good shots. Yes, I had have had RC helicopters and little inside drones but this was the first outside ‘proper drone’. I highly recommend this drone but if you do want more information about this drone, tell me and I may do it in a future post.
By now I have mastered the controls and I am ready to move to a better and a bit more expensive drone. I already knew Dji is a really good drone company and can make great drones.
I started looking around and found the Dji Phantom 3 pro, with a price around £700. A range of 5km matched with a height of 500 meters equipped with 23 minutes flight time.
It also has a 4k camera for amazing looking videos and great photos. In order to keep the camera still it has a 3-axis gimbal which makes it look like the camera is still and very steady, even when I go into the wind when speed the camera isn’t tilted much at all. It looked like a great drone and it is!
Why did I get the professional instead of the standard?
There are many types of drones which Dji do including the phantom series which the phantom 3 pro is in. For about £200 cheaper you can buy the Dji phantom 3 Standard, however it doesn’t have the 4k camera which is a big part of the phantom 3 professional if you want those amazing photos and videos, however if you are not completly bother about this I do recommend the Dji Phantom 3 Standard.
Features of the Dji Phantom 3 professional:
• It can go 5km in range.
• 500 meters up.
• Uses satellites for a great signal.
• Has a 3-axis gimbal.
• With touch of a button the drone will return where it took off, Return To Home (RTH) this includes landing as well..
• Follow me mode is a great you can highlight someone and the drone will follow it.
• Battery life of around 23 minutes and only takes 1 hour to charge.
• Smart battery will make the drone return to home when low on battery and will calculate how much battery it will need to get back from far away and when it hits that point it will returns to home.
• If you are not that great at taking off at a push of a button it will even do that for you as well.
• Through the Dji app you will have live broadcasting of what your drone can see and in the app you can customize your drone and camera settings.

Brilliant Post! Upvoted and Resteemed ;-)
Thanks a lot
Amazing post great detail!
Thanks :)
You'll be fine as long as you don't need any support from DJI. Their support is terrible. Why not the mavic?
Yeah I agree I would of brought the mavic however it was a bit out of my price range
Once you get a few good drone videos on here, you'll be able to afford an Inspire :). Have you done much editing of videos yet?
Yeah I have done some, at the moment I am working on a montage of some photos and videos
