Drone DJI Phantom 4 Pro. Amazing Photo.

in #drone8 years ago (edited)

I am constantly trying to find new ways to film and photograph things. Views have always been a favourite- after all they are the easiest to photograph since they don't move and usually consist of one image that can be colour corrected or photoshopped.

The photo below was taken as a promo or advertising image for one of the DJI retailers in Bangkok. They offer classes to teach newbies how to fly and how to catch amazing shots. After I contacted them asking how to stitch together photos or film in 360- perhaps similar to a panorama, they sent me this truly amazing photo (Krabi, Thailand) with some great advice.

To achieve images like this, takes a lot of time. It does not consist of just 1 photo or 1 panorama. Stitching together images means combining multiple pictures. Varied exposures are taken- something very important when photographing into the sun or a bright light.
This allows you to capture all of the very light and bright details- like we see in the sunset and also all of the very dark, shadowy areas that would normally be seen around the mountains (basically anything facing away from the light source).

Once the images are stitched together with some Photoshop magic, the results should be something like this.

They told me they might be planning a video tutorial of how to create this finished image- i will be looking out for that.

I will be trying this myself when the conditions and view is right.

Beautiful stitching result and interesting backstory. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing isn't it- can't wait to try

Looking forward to your results! 🤗🤗

What a shot !

or probably about 20+ shots haha

hahaha No doubt you needed at least 20 shots to create that pic, it is massive :)

Wow! Nice picture!

Thank you
