Dude, I'm sorry that didn't work out for you, but hopefully next spring/summer will be better. Would a UV/faux-sunlight lamp work?

Hah no worries, my plant is huge so I think by then it will be ready for another trimming of leaves.
Any UV light that makes things show their fluorescence, I am not sure about a sunlight lamp. But blacklights will work if thats what it is.
