Starting with the swing pattern try to add a paradiddle played between hand and foot.
It creates a figure of four upon a three division and develops indipendence; it could be an interesting phrasing.
Oh... and don't forget the hi-hat on two and four with your left foot (of course the inverse if you are left-handed).
