I'm guessing you've spent a lot of time online but not very long here?

  • Ben and I have a good rapport; I was poking fun at the vagueness of the criticism leveled against him in the song, and knew he'd read it as intended.
  • Genuinely flaming a stranger (as you've done) is really not considered acceptable here and will see your comment flagged (and often any pending payments flagged away too)
  • I'm assuming you believe you're in some way defending Ben from a troll so I won't go on a flagging rampage, but it's important to appreciate that friends are very lucrative here; and enemies are very expensive.
This very much sets the tone of conversation. If something could be taken one of two ways, the reader tends toward the nicer interpretation simply because genuine trolling is so incredibly self-destructive.
  • Start from the assumption that you're talking to a friend, and you'll do really well.
    Good luck here, mate.

Ha I stayed out of that cos I thought you two were friends and that was your style of conversing... Oy vey...

ps thank you for the tips, I upvoted your reply too. Cheerio

I did interpret your comment as friendly banter and actually hoped that you might interpret my comment as friendly banter as well - this would've lead to something funny and interesting. I thought the absurdity of the comment would be a dead giveaway. Sorry that you took it the wrong way. Maybe I should've put sucking dick in camp italics to lend it some frivolity.
