Well this first month on Steemit has been pretty much life-changing.
While I am not under the illusion that any social media platform is the meaning of life, I have been blown away at how integrated and holistic my experience here can be.
To give you a basic example, I have always loved business and economics. This, for the most part, has sat squarely at odds with my more bohemian choices to live as a singer/songwriter. Its sometimes felt as if it was somehow artistically fraudulant to be business-conscious and also artistically inclined. I have never felt a conflict between these worlds, yet it was clear the rest of the world did!
My interest in fringe culture and business led me to cryptocurrencies and then to Steemit, and I have been so happy to be part of a community that sees economic and business awareness and consciousness as DEEPLY RADICAL and connected to all other aspects of our creative and social lives. To be in a space that does not shame others for ambition or wanting to live a financially abundant life, while doing it all authentically, feels like a wide open space to play in!
As with everything I do, from the beginning of my life on Steemit, I have been committed to building my presence through sharing POSITIVE, meaningful, challenging content that OPENS POSSIBILITIES for all of us.

I've told you more than once how happy I'am that you decided to make the plunge and it warms my heart to see the attitude you have towards the community.

I’m doing something wrong. I’ve been here a year and only have half of those followers.
I am no expert but I love getting to know individuals and their personal stories. I think that can connect in a big way.
You were always kind of made for Steemit, because you’ve always just seemed like a super friendly dude that likes interacting with the people who like your music.
Although you may also just have some great social media managers...either way, there’s some good people involved in your music journey, including you and your entire team, and it’s a great experience for the rest of us, so we all wish for nothing but goodness and success, however you define it!

ps. Thanks for that Victory post. I remember when I first heard the song (I think it was like early 2015 or something around then), and it struck me as having a kind of Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, and (I'm not sure why) Elliot Smith, vibe to it. Still as good today as it was when it came out.

Can't believe it has only been a month so far, so not even a month for me on Steemit! There have been so many new things happening in such short time, it's really great and exciting and buzzing! Thanks for luring me in ;) I would never have known Steemit at this point if it wasn't for you!
Since you asked: To me, the topic journalism is particularly interesting, and more and more journalists/reporters seem to join Steemit, which I find really exciting. But I do still have basic questions, too, I sometimes have difficulties navigating through my feed - I mean, there are really many interesting things going on, but my feed sometimes confuses me ;) I still haven't figured out a good way to handle all these posts (unfortunately I don't have the time to "always check all of them") - but maybe that's just me, or that's just the way it is on Steemit ;)
yeah its a lot to sift through - im using the "unfollow" button alot lately to curate my experience better
