My, it was a long post to begin with but worth reading. I thank you for sharing your experiences and encouraging everybody that we all can.
You are right that our problems are our mindsets. We see our parents or relatives almost giving all their hours to work just to give to the family. We grew thinking that what others do is right. We idolized them resulting us to work hard and do the same just like them when they were. Because of this, we forget that we are different from them. We can find ways and solutions they weren't able to. We can be of great help and at the same time be happy for living what life we chose.
None of us should be discouraged just because you can't seem to see progress. Any effort, how little it may be is a progress. And to note, it's not bad to live a life people don't understand.
