The SoundTrack of my Day! DSound.audio! (#2)

A SteeMusical Curation Digest

I’ve been enjoying myself quite a lot, listening to the “New” category on dsound, as I go about my day. Because of this, I figured: "Why not do a curation digest?" It’s simple enough for me to copy links over to an editor, go about my work. Now, I have enough links saved, and I’m sharing them, here, with you. DSound.audio is one of our dAPPS that I don't see enough hype about. I think that it might be my favorite!

There currently is not a link back to Steemit profiles from dsound.audio. Because of this, I’m sharing the link to the Steemit post for each song, then you can easily open the track in dsound, while also checking out their Steemit profile.

"drunken robots are singing to recover the influence of drunk"

This one is someone singing into some kind of voice modulator, along with some keys. Lots of distortion, great melody! Musically, it is fairly simple, but it's definitely one of my Favorites!

I've known @rt395 for quite some time, here on Steem because of his work with @steemitbc. I didn't know, however, that he makes electronic music! I'm pleased to be introduced to this side of @rt395.

"This was a tune my friend, Crytek and I made back in 2004. He worked on the drums and I pretty much did everything else. Since I just got my midi controller I want to start posting some of my tunes beginning with this one. I don't even think we had a name for it because just after finishing it Crytek had a deployment to sea and I moved back from Tokyo to California. I'm finally going to name it "Deep" after the vocal sample."

It seems like we're having a "digital" theme in my song selection today. @illuminationst8 shares a lot of different sounds that give this track an otherworldly feel.

"Here is a little patch I put together on my eurorack modular synthesizer. The sounds you hear are a one shot performance recorded into a single stereo track. It was mastered a bit using vsts in ableton to give it a little extra polish. This one is a little weird but I still like it a lot and hope you do too."

Here's a change of pace. This song is more on the Rock side of things. I'm not sure exactly which genre this fits in, and genres have become so diverse anymore, I won't even try :)

iHeart (Intermittent Heart) Jarrad Levi (Vocals, Guitar, Synth/Keys)and his wife Skye Levi (Drums, Percussion) iHeart is a kickass two piece from RADelaide.

It looks like @jaredlevi and his band are new to steemit, so you might want to go and give him a welcome.

This song starts out slow with a bit of static, and then goes on to a very relaxing trancy vibe. Electronic Lullaby is a fitting name. I was just listening to the song as I typed this, and went "out there" for a while. Now, I'm coming back to earth and remember that I'm working on this post.

There's a number of tracks labled TECHNO on @greencross' dtube feed, this one isn't quite techno, but if you're into that be sure to check him out!

This is a beautiful recording of @angeljames singing in Maylay, accompanied by piano. A good followup to the previous Electronic Lullaby, this has a similar theme in it's meaning, but not it's musical style.

"I wrote Mimpi back in 2015. It's in Malay. I wrote it during one night where I can't sleep. This song is just basically, like you're talking to a sleeping person. Telling them to have a good dream and that you'll stay awake to protect them. It's one of the first few songs I made for my solo and not for my band. It's the first song I made with keys and not strings. This song meant so much to me that I haven't rerecord or rearrange it."

@seanbutnotheard has posted only 3 times in 5 months. Well, Sean, I sure hope you come back soon and bring us more! The title for this track speaks for itself. Great rendition!

Thanks for stopping by!

That's all for this weeks edition of "The soundtrack of my day!" I think I'll keep these up, because I love hearing sounds from steemians around the world.
