Hi and welcome to Friday Night Frights - a new podcast about horror movies and things that go bump in the night.

Here at our place it is already an unwritten rule - Every Friday Night, to wind down from the busy week, we get together and watch a horror movie over some frozen pizza and icecream. Here I will discuss the movie of the week - and what I thought about it. I will let you know if I jumped, trembled... or if I just snoozed.

This week we will talk about The Babsitter - a netflix horror movie that mixes gore, adult themes, a coming of age story, a slasher movie and humour in a quite particular way. With all this in its plate - will it pull it off as a great all-rounder? or will it fall flat?

Thanks for listening and stay tuned for the next episode - until then, if you hear something go bump in the night - just bump the hell away from it!

I thought The Babysitter was pretty funny, but ultimately the story and ending were pretty weak. It wasn't very original and as a movie overall it's not that good. It is entertaining, though. There is a lot of sexual humor, but mostly in the form of dialogue. The violence is very bloody and pretty frequent, but isn't done in an intense or serious way. There is stronger language throughout. I think teens should be okay as long as they can handle some gore. It's not great, but it is funny and worth a watch.

We agree completely!
