After a good amount of procrastination and some whiskey-fuelled inspiration, came together this.

If there were more than one of me
I'd shave my head and grow my beard
I'd be a Doctor of Theology
In great coat of myth, impermeable to ridicule
I'd raise my voice and sing
hymns to the Unknown god
Another me would come undone voluptuously
submit to possessions, deliriously
mate with night in vicious delight
I would be, in a word, unspeakable
indulge an appetite artistically criminal
gloriously indifferent to utter: ruin!
Yet another me would take to stage
part animal, part angel in improbable outfit
strike ecstatic pose and fuse with masses
Or perhaps, at last, renounce words and self
occupy an eye, to better see
in silent awe, peripherally
But, there is only this ambitious pen, and playpen
fencing a mass of miscarriages
trembling from time in unquiet blood
And I, with reluctant fidelity, am guardian
looking over the restless, violent lot
for fear of fratricide.

Wow, your poetry is amazing. I can't believe the rhythm you've got in your words, and the word choices are so powerful. Very beautifully done. I really liked the contrast in the poem about the two parts of me. It was really true.

Poetry is a prayer
This thing gave me motivation to write my poetry in a more effective way ( Yes i consider myself a worthless poet in front of such great minds)I am on this platform for the past four months, since i joined the platform i followed Yahia and interacted with him, i did realize that he is among the top quality poets of the platform, @yahialababidi you must remember you once called the golden line:

This whole thing was just sooo cool. With the sound, and the way the words were read. And the words themselves. This was super awesome. I loved it. Very ethereal. Keep doing more! I listened to it like 5 times. I just loved the beat and the sounds, and the grouping of voice with kind of gospel-like eerie sound. Good fit, btw.

what I think:
when somebody puts in an extended amount of time and energy into crafting a collaborative piece of art, it would be honorable to actually listen to it before commending it.
so many crap generic comments on Steemit, I'd prefer not to have any comment than one thrown out so loosely than no credit actually even given to the full work.
