This is the exact process in my brain that is active when I am listening to other music.. I listen to know how it was created. You can learn so much by just using your ears in the right way.
It is so easy to get bogged down in the skills, tools and technical details.. Just try to think of them as a means to get the music inside of you out into the world. The tools shouldn't generate what you are wanting to create. The tools should generate what is in your mind already. What is in your mind already could be a feeling, a dance, a beat, or a lyric. The technical knowledge is yours to make it easier to make your song a reality.. I hope this makes sense, haha!

I just had a wrong way to the world of music! At first I must have a melody in my soul and then just try to create it technically.
