We need no laws at all. All laws say is that most of us are not smart enough to know the difference between right and wrong.
To change the paradigm, people need to be free to act responsibly without anyone's help, that's how they get better at it.
It seems like we over-think some things. I'm a fan of keep it simple. It also allows for more solidarity, common ground is easier to find.
This is all we need to know. This covers it imho.
