All you need to know about DTube token sale round #1
Dear Steemians and Dtubers,
Since the announcement of the first DTube token sale round here, we have explained with more details the different steps in the coming months for DTube to launch its full token economy (check the full roadmap here if you missed it)
Today, we are focusing on the details about this first round that will start September 20th, 2019.
What is this token sale for ?
Funding the IEO
DTube will conduct a first token sale as a seed funding for its upcoming Initial Exchange Offering (IEO).
As most of the businesses built on top of Steem, the (very) low market price for the Steem token hits our financial power pretty hard.
For the sake of our IEO, we are willing to collect $100,000 to fund the following expenses:
- Legal compliance, Terms & Conditions, utility token legal opinion: $40,000
- Exchange fees for 2 IEO rounds: $40,000
- Marketing boost: $20,000
Onboard the best Exchange
We are counting on the whole Steem community to make this first round as successful as possible. Why?
Because this will be a great determiner to the success of DTube's IEO:
- First, we are currently in talks with some of the world's very top exchanges. A fast sale will greatly help to convince them in accepting our IEO project
- Second, a successful IEO of a Steem DApp will bring strong confidence from crypto markets and investors in our ecosystem. Other DApps will follow!
What's in for investors in this round ?
We will conduct the first ever DTC token sale round, that will guarantee the highest bonus of all following rounds, so don't miss this one!
Token sale details
We will conduct the sale on the dedicated DTube token page (to be released very soon).
When will I receive my DTCs?
Investors will buy the real DTC utility token, i.e: no need for an ERC-20 and no need to swap the token.
- We will start the DTube Chain Mainnet for the sake of this token sale. Investors will be able to check their balance on your channel on the DTube interface.
When will the token be tradable?
DTC is a transferable asset, but it won't be exchangeable during the token sale period. You can expect to be able to trade it by Q4, 2019.

- How many tokens for sale in round #1: 1 Million
- Total amount that will be sold to investors: 25 Million
- DTC initial circulating supply at launch: 100 Million
Event details
- Sale price: $0.10 (most preferred rate along among all further DTC token sales)
- Payment method: STEEM, BTC, ETH and EOS
- Sale duration: Sale starts on september 20th, 2019 at 18.00pm UTC (London time zone)
- No Soft cap
- Hard cap: 1 Million DTC

Go to https://d.tube and click the "Claim account" then follow the 3 steps carefully.
What if it didn't work ?
If you don't see the popup above, follow this procedure:
1- Clear your browser cache
2- While on DTube, log out your steem account and refresh the page. Then log again to Steem, the pop-up should appear
- The process on a smartphone might not work well (we are working on an update). If you don't see the pop-up, please try it on a desktop computer.
- If you are using Steem Keychain it might also not work smoothly. If so, try connecting directly using the Sign In button on DTube
- If it hasn't worked or if you see an error message, please refresh the page and verify if your account has been created before doing the process again.

Would be great if I could log back in on mobile app.
I was experiencing issues so i thought if i uninstall and reinstall it may fix the problems i was having with uploads.
After i reinstalled the mobile app i have been unable to login. That's been almost a month ago. Keep trying but no luck. I am fortunately logged in on my desktop. But it would be better if I could get back in on my mobile as I am not always at my desktop. Very disappointing.
When I try to login it just freezes after I click on the login button after putting in my details. It stays frozen forever. So I have really just given up trying.
Anyways best of luck with the token sale. Would love to support the platform more often but I cant. So yeah😭
The app stopped working when they started the testnet.. the app wasnt put out by dtube and now that dtube actually runs on a dual blockchain the app doesnt support that so it is unusable. Although from what I understand they are working on an app. Unfortunately the website is the best we got for now.
Thank you for that input. At least now I know not to try and use it. Much appreciated. Hopefully they an get the app back up and running soon.

I think DTube coins should be mined by all of us
IEO makes no sense, you don't even know if you will have a market. or an exchange.... I warn everyone, i would just wait .. No rush. 99.99% of tokens lost 99.99% value after only 6-8 months
"legal compliance" release the code as gpl 2... there i saved you all that money..... force users to host files, there i saved you again, Look up how much YouTube vs Viacom cost . Legal compliance.
We have to think about scale and user experiences... Centralized hosting only works if you own the internet like amazon or google. Are we anything like amazon or google? No.. We have to decentralize in a sense amazon and google into the every day person's living rooms, basements, outside near the poor. yea no one said this would be easy, but it's a fun challenge we can do it together.

But isn't DTC mineable by node validators?

Why are there only positive comments? No one mentions how badly the DtUBE site experience is? Only moneygrabbers here........... no one seem to care about the lack of user interface in the dtube platform. No one dare to critique in fear of downvotes.
The DTube team actually values a lot comments over potential improvements, UX and so on.
User interface could indeed be way better, and we will intend to do so as soon as we have the financial resources to carry it out.
DTube has a small team, working on the project on a voluntary basis since nearly 2 years now. We made the choice to focus over blockchain with great distribution rewards first.
We would be grateful if you'd share with us the top 3 improvement you'd like to see on the platform in the future

HELP!!! I claimed my account but I don't have any starting DTC to even fill out my profile. No starting resource credits in other words. I can't get my channel going again. I don't use Discord. I like that I can post just to Dtube and not Steemit as well and would like to use my channel. Thanks much!

Thanks @knowhow92 but you shouldn't have to do that. I stopped using dtube due to upload issues wasting a ton of my time. I was hopeful that things were finally coming together there and was hopeful I could use it. Bitchute has been great and it looks like I will just let things hang and stick with that. Dtube should handle these new unusable accounts and not you. I appreciate your kindness but if the platform is still going to be a problem then you would have wasted that gift and I don't want that. I will just let it sit there and see what happens. Either I will be able to use it one day or I won't. I still have Bitchute to post my videos and Weku to embed them. Thanks for responding. I really do appreciate it.

I have never tried Bitchute but I have already "estabished" m name on Dtube so I am sticking here.
By the way, all these DTC's that I have on my acc will dissapear in a couple of weeks when the mainnet will be launched so I won't loose anything if I sent some to you. Just leave a comment and it's done.

I asked this in the Discord channel, but will ask it here, too... I just (re)signed up for DTube and note that the image and background seem to be random stuff, not My Steem account images. I see nowhere to change those random images. Also, on My channel, under the "videos" tab, I see a spinny wheel and nothing comes up. Been spinning a while now (1/2 hourish...). I had ULed a few vids to DTube a year or more ago, and I guess they're gone?

I have a Dtube account but haven't used it for a while as either our ISP or Govt has blocked Dtube and I haven't got around to setting up a VPN on my desktop to use it again. Has my Dtube account stopped existing in this time I've not been using the website?
