Hey Steemit and Dtube,
Today, I pressed DELETE and it was the best thing I could have done for DTUBE!!
I had one of those days!
You know the one, where everything you wanted to get done was thrown in the toilet as other people and their problems eat up your day.
I survived the day, recorded a video, completed the edit and started the upload. At the end ... luckily, I pressed DELETE.
I also show you the wildlife here at Point Walter, which includes the pelicans and the Black Swans from which the name "Swan River" comes from. This day has started much better than yesterday!!
What's your opinion....which is worse, having no content or having bad content for the day?
Here's a few of the friends I mentioned in the video, they're creators from DtubeDaily, the community that has helped me greatly.
@kevinli
@captainbob
@liveyourdream
@harshilpatel
If you want to check out the community, just go to @dtubedaily they are a fantastic group!
Thanks for watching.

Bad content ruins the blog and can ruin reputation so I chose no content overbad content
At first i thought your content would be quite dubious but after watching a few of yours videos i've come to like your philosophy, effort and energy that you contribute. Subscribed and looking forward to your work, you have formed part of my motivational diet.
I’m really appreciate your support :) I hope I can continue to positively contribute
No content.
Or super abbreviated content.
You could also put together some bloopers, extra info, or some extra videos on a good shooting day. They could be posted on days that you are unable to generate that stellar content.
Keeping your viewers engaged and your work ethic intact.
I can't even do weekly, man. Good luck!
Agree totally mate. If you drop by @dtubedaily they can direct you for the logo :) it’s a really good community
Perfect idea mate. I could fill a few videos of bloopers :)
Pelicans! Great spot.
Good to hear that so happy to see that you working hard of your posts and make sure to have them in a good quality
Keep up
You are definitely right about providing value mate :) I always love watching your videos brother and I'm very glad to have you in our community!
Winny out...for now ;)
Thanks mate👍
No content is better then bad content there is no question here
As someone who tried to do daily videos, I appreciate the honesty. As I look back on my short dtube/steemit journey I see I should have pushed delete too a couple tines. Thanks for sharing and keeping it real!
Thanks mate, I am glad I didn’t post it in the end. I learnt a real lesson!!
I'll be triple checking my work now too...Thanks again!!!!!
What you say makes perfect sense. I'm on Day 3 of DTubeDaily and wondering just how I'll manage with this, but I'm hoping that I can rise to the challenge. You've taught me a lesson here that I shall consider.
Pelicans are a great bird. Black Swans aren't that bad. I fish with them all the time. They talk a good fight, but they are really pussies. They have no teeth...
Good to know. It’s probably my childhood coming back to haunt me when one of the big buggers to a dislike to me. 😳😳
Haha. Like I say, more hiss than bite. I feed them corn when I have it for carp bait. They have a rough mouth, but nothing serious. I can imagine them being very intimidating if one had a go at you as a kid. They are big birds, that is for sure.
By far no content over bad content! But if it's content from you, there's gonna be some people who love it. (perhaps because you're willing to hit the delete button) Keep up the quality content! Look forward to your future adventures!!!
great to see someone working on good content rather than just posting stuff headlessly...way 2 go👍
Thanks mate
You were so right to press delete. I also uploaded some time ago videos just for having uploaded something which I wasn’t satisfied with. And then I also thought just like you. It’s better to post nothing than posting trash.
I use these days now when I don’t feel like uploading a video to prepare another one, learn some new techniques or think about a topic for the next day.
And thank you very much as well for the shoutout :)
You are most welcome mate
I could not agree more about what you said about the content, there is no use on this platform just clutching at srtaws and putting any old thing up.
I think one of the things is the ones which get higher rewards you can see the amount of work and effort that has gone into the content. I just wish there was a mandatory school video newbies had to complete before joining the blockchain.
Great video btw did you design that png Daily pic how could I get my hands on one??
Done the right thing mate! Last year I decided to go for a 66 days of daily vlogging and although was fun at the beginning I've started to fall apart and some days I've posted shit content just to prove my commitment... I've never reached 66 days but 60. It was a good ride, I've learned a lot, but I haven't created fresh content since then. I'm wanting to create value, but I'm getting to caught up in choosing what value should I bring to the ecosystem. Do you see the value in your older posts still? Do you regret for the ones that just were fillers? Cheers cheers! Looking forward to see what Bali brings
60 days straight, well done on that!! Bali should be fun, little business and a little swimming :)
Great video mate and thank you for the shout out! Cheers!
My pleasure mate
You are working hard. Its nice decision. Good post.
i will have to check them out soon,anyway i think it's better to have a bad content daily than none,remember 1 is better than 0
I see his point, but I certainly see yours, too. If you're an expert at vlogging with 1000s of videos to your name and you're looking to be head-hunted by a tv company, then you should be producing great content all the time, anyway. So much so that a crap video would stick out like a sore thumb and yes, it shouldn't be posted. Kind of goes without saying, really, doesn't it?
If you're totally new to the game, however, you have to start somewhere. Practise makes perfect. You should improve with time. Personally, I didn't rate the above video that much (though the post-production was obviously top class, I must say). If the viewer has a natural affinity to a presenter, great. If they don't - and we all like different kinds of people - then a viewer won't stick around long. One man's meat is another man's poison.
All you can do, is try to do your best. It also helps if you enjoy having a go. There's no harm in that. You might just be the next great talent the world (read: steemit) is in need of. I assume the poster isn't trying to discourage anyone, more just trying to encourage everyone to raise their game so that they can be the very best that they can be.
Good luck @jordanlove. Good luck all who try to post quality material on Steemit / develop new skills on the platform. May we all achieve our own individual goals.
Nice, hope you too will help others as well..

The best challenge is to see what you do when you don't want to do something. Even though you didn't make that video, it wasn't the end of the world and you made another one!
It only takes a few bad posts to really ruin things. Things go downhill real fast if you have multiple bad posts in a row. Subscribers/followers usually won't put up with poor quality for long. If their need to be educated or entertained is not being filled they will go find that fulfillment somewhere else. Really, think about it. It's just that simple. We watch and read content to fulfill a need.
An illustrative example would be needing to fill a large container with water quickly. Several faucets are available to choose from. Some are just dripping and some are flowing fast and freely. Why is anyone going to put up with a slowly dripping faucet when there are several flowing faucets to choose from?
