7th Heaven
You wouldn't believe how much bad luck I've had trying to get this video together.
Over the past 6 (or so) takes, I've had endless problems such as the camera being out of focus, a flat battery (more than once), a full memory card, the painting being out of frame and a couple of paintings didn't make the cut due to simply not being very pretty paintings.
Fluid art can be like that, a bit hit or miss. But that's what I love about it, the whole process becomes one big experiment. It's often a very delicate balance of colours where one colour can dominate the painting and completely change the outcome ending up with a colour scheme quite different from what you were expecting.
For the past few years, painting has become a sort of self-directed art therapy, the entire process is almost like a meditation because I can just be in my own head with only my own thoughts. Since the style of the painting is abstract, this also saves me from beating myself up too much (and I can tell 'that voice' to STFU!)
After experiencing how much effort it took to perfect this three-minute long footage, I have a healthy, new respect for vloggers. I've definitely learnt that it's not as easy as it looks!
However, if shooting and editing videos was easy I would have been doing it a long time ago and this video would probably have been posted on the other tube rather than d.tube so who's complaining... not me, that's for sure. In fact, I'm honoured to be posting my very first video on d.tube...
Thanks for stopping by and watching my vid.

Living and growing art :)
That's right, it feels like each painting tells it's own story. Thank you for watching.
