I am guessing the poster was referring to a sligh hearing loss which sort of blurs the audio.
I will only consider the non-YT sites are maturing when they make subs available for all videos, so that everyone can enjoy them - also, auto-translate is a benefit I enjoy, at YT, as it widens what I can experience.
I think you're right about that. I recently paid for a subscription to Netflix and can see how well they have done in this dept. Watch the film in its original language, with subs, or watch it with the audio dubbed into a variety of other languages. Though with professional productions I know it is much easier to achieve this.
Playlists are another thing which for me are essential when building a video archive. Yet there are no playlists on D.Tube. Something for the future I suppose.
From now on I will always post the YouTube version with the D.Tube version because their subs are pretty accurate with my good old British accent ;)
