Playtime with a Danger noddle. Black Betty the 2.5m Black headed python

in #dtube6 years ago (edited)

Hey guys this is Black Betty my 2.5m Black headed python.

Black headed pythons are native to the north and mid sections of Australia excluding the very arid areas. They primarily feed on other snakes and lizards so we need to keep her far away from the others. She is a terrestrial snake which means she lives on the ground and prefers hiding under rocks and branches.

We've had Betty for a while now and she is by far my favorite snake, at 2.5m long she is also our longest and a good size for her species. She is super calm and will occasionally hiss loudly but this isn't a sign of aggression She actually has never shown any aggression even when handled by kids a little roughly.

Anyway I thought i would get her out for a play in the sun so I hope you enjoy. Also this video features Big Mama (A bredli python) and Billy the salt water crocodile.

Cheers :)

Dude lol the snake rocks

I am so so afraid of snakes when i am growing up and even till now, i am still afraid of snakes not to talk of pyton. It is deadly for me.

You should respect all wild animals, especially snakes. But you don't need to fear them. Even wild snakes usually just want to run away

What a beauty! Thanks for sharing!
