Super Easy Nepali Style Chicken Recipe *VIDEO*

in #dtube7 years ago (edited)

I loooove food even though I can't eat a ton in one sitting (I have to eat small meals throughout the day instead of 3 big meals 😕).

When I have some free time and feel like cooking at school, I make some Nepali food that I've watched my mom cook for years. The chicken she makes is phenomenal and I have made multiple attempts to copy it; never turns out as good as hers. Moms always have some secret they never share.

...Maybe the love? 😉

Anyways, since I start my final semester of grad school tomorrow, before I leave, I wanted my mom to show me, again, how to make some muy delicioso pollo (ayyy I know some Spanish haha jk, I only know a few words here and there, sadly).

Now I have a recorded version of this recipe that I can always look at and copy! 😈

It's super easy to make as long as you have the spices that are used on here. If you want to give it a shot, make a visit to your local Indian store, if you have one nearby (or just Amazon it), to buy the seasonings.

Ingredients

All you need is some chicken (we like to use big whole chicken and cut them up ourselves instead of buying chicken breasts because those don't have a lot of flavor), onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, tumeric, garam masala, kashmiri mirchi, cilantro and sesame powder, and salt. If you like cilantro, you can use some fresh leaves to garnish your meal!

I realize there are no measurements included since our culture has the expertise of just eye-balling everything 😄

Doesn't it look yummy? I can assure you it was fantastico!! :)

This looks great! I need some easy chicken recipes to make at school too. I'll have to try this out!

Awesome! Share with me if you try it :)

Hey - Don't have time to watch the video for now - But I have time to tell you that setting your rewards to 100% powerup still is not smart and will burn money ;)

some of my posts :)Hey @theaustrianguy! OK so if powered up 100%, I'll get all the rewards as steem power right? Instead of SBD and SP. Since I don't really care about making a ton of money right now and wanna focus more on growing on Steemit vs taking money out and investing somewhere else, I thought I'd show that by powering up 100% on at least

That may be a noble motive - But by setting to 50/50 and then exchanging the sbd to steemp and powering up you would get way more steempower ;)

For Steem, the blockchain calculates with the real prize, for SBD with one $. So for a 10$ post you can get (lets imagine sbd and steem both being worth 5$) 2 steem or one steem + 5 sbd ... I will let you do the math ;)

Ahh gotcha. Thanks for helping out a noob
😆

Looks yummy... but I know It'll taste bad,

if I tried cooking it :D
