Thais are the best at street food. I have been really sick before in Thailand from eating on the street. In my experience It is not the food that is bad but rather the plates and utensils that are not clean. They wash them in the same dirty water all night. Unless the food is served on a stick or in a bag, I usually have them package it up and I bring it home to eat it.
