I think it will be really interesting to see what crypto does if we have a global recession. I think yes it will take a beating with many first world investors getting out of these high-risk investments but I think that's a good thing.
It lowers the barrier to entry for those who wanted to use or own crypto as an asset class especially in 3rd world countries like myself. I think the world global recission gives off this idea that the whole world is suffering and money dries up, but its rather the larger economies.
The ones that are nimble tend to be more resilient and unphased since they dont levearage high government and consumer debt and these people and countries will be the ones more aggressive in crypto as the bigger players pull out.
I think it will also help spread crypto and encourage even more decentralisation as a large number of crypto is sitting in the wallets of early investors from your first world countries
