A lot of people are thinking that if the idea of the coin is good it will lead it to success. But that not true, there are alot of existing coin that are made only to trade with. Or you can find a lot of new icos or airdrop that make money from air. The may even give you those worthless coin for free to invite more people and they just earn from those who invest.
Be careful when you decide to buy any coin thinking that it will be like bitcoin or any successful cryptocurrencies. I trust only in those coinds that I can find on the top of https://coinmarketcap.com/. Even though, if the coin is new it can be there for a while, just in the time when people are pumping it. That's why I never buy a new coin, but I invest only in those that are existing for 2 years or more. If their project is good and their team is interesting it worths to invest a bit in their currency.
But if you see coins like : sexcoin, moneycoin, guycoin or any word they come with and add to the end coin, never buy it ! Most good and successful cryptocurrencies don't even have that coin in the end. Never buy any shitcoin before you will do a good research, on the web. Try to find information about those coins in https://bitcointalk.org/, usually people write their real opinion about such coins. Check youtube and wach a few videos about the currency. Test it your self if everything is working there.
You are free of course to do what you want with your money, but it's better to invest in trustful currencies like : bitcoin, ethereum, steem, eos, bitshres and others rather than risking your money anywhere else. ☺
