I am on steemit more than 3 months, I am an internet marketer, that mean that I do something on the web to earn money, I don't do something for free to lose my time. I am a married man and I will have a son very soon, that mean that I need to earn money to feed my family and live a good life. So ... .
I am here to earn money and I see people earning crazy money in trending posts. They earn it because: they invested a lot, they were already famous on other social medea, they have a good life and a lot of things to share from their travelling, they are girls that shows her bodies, or just people who copy pictures and video from the web, like people that share porn or news that we already know about, that's not interesting.
In this time I was posting and promoting platforms like: dtube, esteem, chainbb, and others. After reading one post here I decided to write a post about that, the post is saying that those websites take our profit from posting if we use them : Dtube 25%, 15% esteem, 8% chainbb, about busy I don't know, it was writen in one post and edited after I wrote a comment about that, in real I don't know how much they take.
Of course the platforms are good and they bring something new and good for people but I don't earn that much from steemit to share it with someone, and a lot of people I think are agree with that. So I will just stop using them for a while, maybe for months, maybe forever. I understand that developers want to earn money, but not that much, they are already earning 8%, 15%, 25% maybe someone will take 50% who knows. It's really a lot, they already make handreds of dollars from their posts, they can take at least 1% or even less, but people are people.
Of course I am risking my self to be downvoted by developers and people who like those websites, but sorry I want to be myself, I want to share the truth. I hope you will understand me and be objective.
I will keep posting on steemit because I like it so much, I think it's the best social network ever. I will do everything in my power to invite more people to steemit and to improve my posting and commenting.

It would have been useful if you had included the link to the post that made the original claim.
I have not heard that eSteem or other platforms take (some) of the profit from posts. I'm not sure if they do, or are even able to, but that should not be your main concern.
We can all agree that the current incarnation of Steemit is not the best it can be. I know that the team is working hard on improving this, but we still have a long way to go.
Anyway, all these platforms serve a different purpose. Chainbb and Busy are Steemit alternatives, DTube is a video platform (which is impossible at the moment with Steemit), eSteem is especially useful on mobile devices (and you even get some autovotes at times when commenting via de eSteem app).
So I will be using whatever platform is most useful or convenient at the time, the rewards will sort itself out later.
About dtube it's still writen here that they take 25% from our profit : DTube 0.2
I remamber when I read the post the first time about 24 hour ago, it was writen there about chainbb and esteem, now I can't find it there !
But also they state the 25% they take is for developing the platform. When that's done, it would be free.
I'll better wait when it will be free, maybe that time I will earn enough to share !
