We are already paid by @Dtube - Let's not expect upvotes - Upvotes are not guaranteed - Day 110 !

in #dtube6 years ago

The funny saying I read from a member of the dtube discord server is ''Expect upvotes from a video telling not to expect upvotes''. I'm sharing this to let you know that even if I don't participate in the discussions, I read them. This is what everyone should do sometimes to understand what @dtube and the community of dtube wants. But it's not enough, nothing on steem blockchain is enough.

A lot of people are complaining about not getting upvotes from @dtube and other apps and from whales and even minnows. But I think that anything happening to you is only your fault, but not the fault of others. Some people are even buying those upvotes, why someone will deserve them for free ?

Talking about @dtube , it is not enough to only make a good quality video and to post constantly. We have to join communities, we have to be in touch with others. Even if we are supporting new people, we shouldn't forget about the existing ones. All the communities out there are waiting for more users to help them grow and to get support from people and to support them at the same time. Every community has its own rules and its own ways to help newcomers and even those who are wealthy. Because everyone needs that support.

Even if those communities have low upvotes, they still have curation trails, so the post will be upvoted a lot and you will have a lot of likes on dtube which helps curators to find you. You have to find more ways to let curators find you. Try to comment the most upvoted people by @dtube , comment also other people in @dlive and other applications. Comment those who are doing well on steem blockchain as well. We don't have to care only about inviting people to the platform, but to care about supporting the existing ones as well.

Every community has a discord server, I think if someone is on steem blockchain and especially on @dtube , he should join discord, because in each discord server there is a promotion channel or even several channels, where people share their links to be noticed by curators. I personally always share my links in all communities in discordapp, I'm in more than 40 communities right now. This is one of the reasons that I have almost 5000 followers, because I try to be active everywhere.

The best dtube communities are :

  1. @onelovedtube , it's one of the first dtube communities that is still supporting a lot of people and I think anyone can join. They have a good curation trail and good delegations as well. They supported me for months even when I wasn't following their trail. Thanks to them and I'm following their trail now.

  2. @dtubedaily , if you are making daily videos, you should try to join this community as well. They have some requirements to join, but anything they ask deserves trying to join. They also have a lot of veteran dtubers, who've been supporting @dtube from the beginning.

  3. @steempowerment , even from the name of the community we understand that they support steem, so they support all steem users and they have a lot of interesting users. This community is also growing and supporting a lot of people and they have a discord server as well.

  4. @dcooperation , our new community that exists for more than 2 months. We support all kind of collaborations on steem blockchain. We also have good delegations and a curation trail to make people be noticed by curators. Anyone who joins our curation trail will be promoted every single day in DCooperation Daily News. Our goal is to have an upvote of at least $1 and to make each video of our members earn at least $1 if it's not upvoted by @dtube .

  5. @steemcreators it's a powerful community as well with an amazing leader @steemcafe who is promoting steem in a lot of ways. They even have real meetings, so if you want to meet some dtubers in person, your can join the community and visit their meetings and build relations with them. So you will be noticed as well.

There are even more communities that you can join on steem blockchain, maybe hundreds of them. Do your research and find more. Building only a community around you is not enough. You have also to join others and to support them. Steem is a social network and @dtube is as well, so just be social.

Even if we do something for dtube or anyone here, we have to keep doing it, not for the upvotes, but for the community. We have so many good steem users who do everything to help the community, not just to earn, and you can see the proof of that in this post : https://steemit.com/witness-category/@clixmoney/it-s-the-time-to-vote-for-the-right-witnesses . That was a post from me 4 months ago about them. We have to try to help them in their mission as well. Using their platforms. Joining their projects.

Let's suppose that you are working in a company, and you will promote your company without being asked from your boss. Do you have the right to ask for more money from your boss ? No, of course, you did that for the company to grow and if the company will grow and the earning will be better, of course your salary can be much better, or you will just build a good career by time. I think it's similar when you join a big project in steem blockchain. Don't expect to be the most upvoted one without building your career in that project.

Even if we do all that, upvotes are not guaranteed from anyone. It's better to keep creating and improving without even thinking about that. It's hard to do if you do something and you don't get the return. But let's think that we are in an elite community with people of the future who think that the improvement is the best reward. ☺

Yup - this is a great article. No point in focusing on what you don't have. That is a lack mentality and will get you nowhere - sadly very common in life. There are unparalleled opportunities for abundance on here and it requires an individual shift in beliefs and attitude to make it happen.

That is why STEEM is a personal development journey, as well as an opportunity at many levels :)

Glad you understand that, thanks for such intellectual comment. ☺

yup true story. Yeah i been away for a week again now and need to get back into upvoting all you guys ;) my vote is now finally worth 1 cent :P

It's good, it will worth much more when the price of steem will go higher, just keep your amazing work. :)

@clixmoney, great video, interesting thoughts and, of course, thank you for the detailed post.

But, don't you think that it would be better if Steem is less centralized? I mean, that if we don't have whales. For example, now about 80-90% of the Steem Power is concentrated in few big players. So, how much you earn mainly depends on those important guys. It somehow resembles the fiat financial system. I may not be right, but this is my view. What is your opinion on this issue?

I don't think that's an issue, it's just like in the real world, we have more rich people and less rich ones. We just have to deserve the respect of those whales. If they invested their own money in the platform, they are free to do what they like. Some people here are having more than 1 million steem power, imagine that, it's more than $1 million, will they give it for free just to random people ? No, of course, we have to deserve their upvotes, we have to prove that we provide value to the community of steem.

Talking about that 80% or more, it can be not used not just because some whales are not upvoting, but it can be not used because they are not online, or just something happen to them. I've seen a lot of accounts that can give very big and good upvotes, but they are not active at all, is that mean that we have to complain and think about them ? No, of course, we have just to keep being active everyday and try to reach to those who are active.
