I stopped drinking in 2014 as well, it was starting to take over and driving me down, drinking 4 to 5 days a week. At the end the cost-to-benefit is so low, you realize you're only doing it because you have to. Addictions are so rampant in our society, it's good to discuss them. I also come from a hard drinking family like so many of us. I've only had some beers on 4 days in 3 years, guys-only summer family fishing trip peer pressure. Our society is soaked, every movie is filled with booze. I see that a lot of people start to burn themselves out drinking in their 30s and 40s, they can't handle it like when they were young, it's only natural. I've never felt better since giving it up.
