RE: Utopian: The Project Liked By Steem Whales and Why You Should Join it Too

Nice video :) Maybe you can appeal for people to delegate SP to the Utopian account so that it can be used to reward contributors. Might be a easier sell than donations. A delegation tool on utopian would make it easier. The utopian account could vote on contributor reports programatically so that it uses its max voting power per day. Similar to a bot but only for contributors posts.

@codewithcheese this is already in my todos :))) I am still thinking if there is a better way to maximise earnings of delegating accounts. Maybe Utopian could run a newsletter with contents about Open Source initiatives and share also the author rewards from the newsletter with the delegators, based on how much they are delegating. What do you think?

What would be the advantage compared to just upvoting the reports directly? If the point is to fund development why give the reward back to those who gave it?

@transisto the thing is, I believe many people here will only delegate their power if they have some kind of ROI. Bigger the ROI bigger the possibility they will delegate. By delegating you are just giving Utopian trust to upvote the best contributions and this is already an advantage. The advantage is for you since you don't have to go through every contribution (hopefully one day there will be thousands) and the advantage is for the contributors because the more power delegated to Utopian the bigger the rewards for them when sharing good contributions, constantly.

The thing is, I think this is not yet enough to convince Steemians to delegate their power. There are already services like minnowbooster that will give you more or less the same ROI you would have if you were upvoting by yourself. Utopian must be more appealing and provide bigger ROIs.

The reason for this is that I want Utopian to have the biggest power is possible in order to give contributors the biggest rewards possible. Some developers, for example, will just ignore the fact that you can be rewarded of a few bucks, simply because they earn much more with their regular work and won't spend their time on Open Source projects as much as it is already happening now. This I want to change and for this to change I must find ways to grow the Utopian upvote power.

Do you think Steemians (with relevant upvote power) will delegate their power or upvote (directly and constantly) contributions on Utopian without having any kind of reward back? What's your opinion about this?

Interesting idea, ill have a think about it.
