We fought one war against North Korea. Why didn't we try to stop communism in North Korea? We did at the cost of 33,000 lives. Now we did end the war without more casualties (ie We didn't go nuclear.) North Korea has a horrendous record on human rights with concentration camps, regular executions and a starving population. That said, we don't want a full war. It seems like special operations, navy seals, strategic strikes or a propaganda war would be a better course of action. While North Korean nukes do pose a risk, if North Korea nukes us, we nuke them and that is a good deterrent.
