Baby Cardinal Bird Hatching in Nest (2011)

Continuing in the effort to upload my older YouTube videos.

This was a very sweet moment for us here on the Daddykirbs Farm back in 2011. There was a family of Cardinals that decided to make a nest up close to our front porch. I was a fun and educational moment for me to record the hatching of the eggs and to share that with the kids. The sweet voice you hear in this video belongs to Luke.

Super cool!!! Amazing they can fit into something that small and still survive.

I'm amazed how small of a space they have too! Same with chickens when they hatch. I'm always shocked that just minutes after being hatched it looks impossible that they were in that egg!

I had a nest in my lilac bush a few years ago...I just looked for the picture but couldn't find it, rats!
